Jenkins Marine has a variety of versatile pontoons and deck cargo barges available for bareboat charter, ranging from 70 – 4000 DWT capacity. These multi-purpose, flat bottom pontoon barges are often the key component in many marine projects. They can be supplied and equipped for a wide range of tasks including crane barge operations, rock carrying, cargo transportation, civil engineering projects, dredge support, pipeline and cable work, and much more.
Our biggest barge, Isabella S, is a 60m long x 22m wide swim-ended, rectangular, flat top deck cargo barge. She is suitable for working close to shore and a large deck load capacity, for bulk cargoes such as construction materials or heavy plant. It has an impressive total load capacity of up to 4000 tons along with a complement of two 24m x 914mm diameter spudlegs to allow for the barge to be moored in tidal waters for easy positioning during harbour and near shore projects.
Slightly smaller in size but just as impressive are JML 5014 and JML50. These swim-ended, flat top deck cargo barges each have two 18m long x 610mm diameter spudlegs for precise position holding, six double mooring bollards and a shallow draft of less than 0.5m when unladen. Suitable for working close to shore and an excellent deck load capacity of 1300 tons. They are ideal for working where a large stable platform is required such as a crane barge or materials barge for project operations.
Also available is the 30m long x 11m wide cargo barge JML 30. Like many of our other barges she has two 610mm diameter 15m long spudlegs for precise position holding, a shallow draft, suitable for working close to shore and is ideally suited for material transportation, a floating marine site or a work platform for medium sized excavator or crane operations.
We also have available for charter the versatile JML60. A multi-purpose, flat-bottomed deck barge, also with two12m x 406mm diameter, self-elevating spudlegs, for precise position holding, and a central ‘moonpool’ making it ideal for site investigation work. JML 60 has thirty separate compartments, providing secure buoyancy, ballasting facility and strength. She also has a front sloped swim end for increased speed through the water and an onboard Hydraulic Power Pack to run two spudleg winches.
If you have a requirement for marine operations in shallow or near shore projects where one of our pontoon barges would help, please get in touch.
