Emergency Powerboat Rescue
We were asked to assist an emergency salvage operation this week, when a powerboat got into difficulty near Sandbanks. The Vintage powerboat Apache 555, built in 1969, was competing in the “Poole Bay 100” when a suspected debris strike caused a large hole in the boat’s hull and it started taking on water fast. We are excited to announce the addition of our new flat top pontoon barge “JML5019” to our pontoon fleet, boasting an impressive total deck capacity/deadweight of 1,700t. Keeping the Mud Moving – Winter Dredging
Our larger dredge set up, including backhoe dredger ‘Doreen Dorward’, and our 300m3 capacity self-propelled, split hopper barges 'Nab' and 'Needles’, have recently completed dredging at Haslar Marina in Gosport for Boatfolk Marinas. The dredge rig then relocated over to Newhaven, and are now carrying out a number of dredging operations at Cowes on the Isle of Wight. Read More
Floating Dredge Pipes at Southsea
We have been hard at work near Portsmouth working with a large international dredging contractor at the Southsea beach replenishment project.
