We have been commissioned to install a range of environmental reef units that will provide new marine habitat at Hengistbury Head as part of the ambitious Hengistbury Head Long Groyne Project. This project is a part of a 17-year Beach Management Scheme, with the original 1930’s long groyne being replaced & upgraded between April – October 2024. Jenkins Marine supported Lankelma by providing movement and towage support of the Sandpiper jackup vessel for geotechnical site investigation completed at Hengistbury Head, Dorset. The long groyne at Hengistbury Head was closed to the public for safety reasons following a detailed inspection of the structure using sonar and laser equipment in 2019. The structure was revealed to be in a very poor condition. Read More
