Jenkins Marine operates a number of specialist towing vessels to suit a wide variety of marine towage requirements.
We complete coastal towage around the UK Coast, with occasional tows further afield into Europe from our location in the central South coast of the UK. We can also provide ship assistance services within Ports and Harbours.
We have a long and successful record of towage operations including towage of pontoons, vessels, barges, jack ups, yachts and other floating objects. Our fleet of well-equipped towing tugs and experienced crews provide reliable, fast and competitive tug services for towage, port operations, delivery and supply projects, and using our many years of technical knowledge and expertise, we can assist with arrangements for loading and securing project cargo, as well as warranty surveys and towage approval surveys.
We have a selection of twin screw motor tugs with a variety of sizes and bollard pulls to meet your various requirements, depending on the specific project being undertaken e.g. shallow draft, or minimum required bollard pull etc. We can also offer a variety of pontoons for project deck cargo transport.

All At Sea in Great Yarmouth
Civil engineering contractor BAM Nuttall / Farrans JV approached Jenkins Marine and asked if we could offer any solutions to the required dredging of high spots in the river channel at Great Yarmouth around the new third river crossing. The ambitious new bridge will ease traffic congestion on the town’s roads and shorten journey times, as well as supporting wider plans to maximise economic growth opportunities in the town and wider borough.
Did You Know We Hire Pontoons?
Jenkins Marine have a range of flat top pontoon available for charter. Our 50m x 14m pontoons are Bv classed with a full international loadline for use world wide, they have an impressive deck cargo capacity of 1300t, and an ultra shallow light draft of only 0.5m.
Tugboat Handfast Back In Jersey
Our powerful tug boat Handfast has returned to the busy maritime port of St Helier where it is once again providing support services for the ongoing operations of this famous busy Channel Island port.
Handfast is a twin-screw tugboat, certificated under the MCA Workboat Code of Practice for operation up to 60 nautical miles from a safe haven for general operations.
New Vessel Wind Lass
We are excited to announce the release to the market of our new multipurpose vessel “Wind Lass“, a powerful 37t Bollard Pull capability Damen MultiCat and an important addition to our fleet. We have just mobilised the vessel to its first project with a UK based marine civils contractor on the South coast.
